Edit Graphic Screen
Edit mode allows adding, deleting and changing properties of graphic components. A "component" is any visual item on a graphic screen. Several Components are available including text labels, check boxes, animations, etc. Adding Components
To add new components to the graphic, drag an item from the device tree and drop it on the graphic. A component selection dialog will be displayed allowing selection of a component to use for the item. Alternately, click the button to display the Components dialog that allows adding components that are not attached to device tree items. Selecting Components
Most editor functions require one or more components to be selected. Click a component to select it. Multiple components may be selected by holding down the Shift key while clicking. Multiple components may also be selected by drawing a box around the desired components. Click anywhere on the background of the graphic (not on a component) and hold the left button down while dragging the mouse. All components that touch or are within the box will be selected. Positioning Components
With one or more components selected, click on one of the selected components and while holding the left button down, drag the components anywhere on the graphic screen. While dragging components, the Shift key may be held down to restrict the components to only vertical movement. Hold the Ctrl key down to restrict them to only horizontal movement. Editing Components
Right-click a component and select "Properties" to edit the settings of a component. Multiple components may be edited at the same time if they are all the same type. Note that this will change all of the settings of all of the selected components, not just the settings that are changed. Click the "Apply" button to apply and see the changes. Click the "Close" button when done making changes. To change the point attached to a component, drag the new point from the device tree and drop it on the component. Pop-up Menu
Right-click a component to display the pop-up menu. The available menu selections are: Properties... - Display the Properties dialog for the selected components. Align... - Display the Align dialog that allows aligning multiple components. Size... - Display the Size dialog that allows sizing multiple components. Scale... - Display the Scale dialog that allows scaling multiple components. Delete Item(s) - Delete the selected components. Cut Items(s) - Copy the selected components to the clipboard and delete them from this graphic. Copy Item(s) - Copy the selected components to the clipboard.
